Description: A majestic oak tree that was a victim of New Jersey’s unusual October 2011 snowstorm has become a beautiful strong basket. After skillful carving, a striking basket emerged from the official state tree of New Jersey. The wood flows from white, light brown to pinkish reddish brown. The darker color of the bark can be seen on the long sides and on a portion of the basket handle. The tree rings are visible on each end of this decorative art piece. The inside texture of the wood basket is bumpy and the outside bottom is flat.
