Description:

This piece of fine art was cut from the center of a two-foot slice of a sycamore tree. Unlike some sculptures that are interesting only when viewed from the front, this is equally interesting when viewed from the sides and the rear. The feathered looking texture was artfully created by the skillful use of a saw. The tree rings can be seen through the clear gloss lacquer finish. The viewer can let his / her imagination run wild…does he / she see a mountain? A rock? Or, something more powerful?
