Description: Tall pine trees with a hint of green provide the backdrop for this gristmill and waterwheel etched and burnt (pyrography) into a section of a sycamore tree. The waterwheel is fed by water from a millpond, which has two delicate swans floating on the water. Great detail can be found in this piece including the stone work and siding, two smoke stacks and windows on the gristmill, the stone path leading up to the gristmill, the shrubbery surrounding the gristmill, the ripples of the millpond and the feathers on the swan. The bark was left intact around the irregular shaped edges. This truly magnificent piece will add to your art collection and comes with a hook for hanging.
